When you stay on North Caicos or Middle Caicos, you get to be the creator of your own adventures. There are no clubs, shopping malls, golf courses or casinos (thank goodness!). What you will find is why you go on vacation in the first place – to find peace and solitude, to unplug from technology and connect with the people around you, to experience things you’ve never done or seen before, to create lasting memories with those you love, and to admire the culture and islands that are “beautiful by nature.”

North and Middle Caicos are so much more than a “day trip.” They are two of the unspoiled and hidden gems of the Turks & Caicos Islands. So rent a vehicle, drive on the left, and “just turn left.” You’ll find many adventures that lead to white sands, majestic bluffs, impressive caves, beautiful sea creatures, and the many shades of turquoise in the ocean waters.

Hike the Crossing Place Trail on Middle Caicos

You will never see beauty quite like this journey provides. Depending on how far you go and how adventurous you get, this trail can be quite strenuous, so be prepared. We recommend starting at Mudjin Harbor and heading west across the bluffs and tucked-away beaches. Wear your tennis shoes as the trail is made of tough and sometimes sharp iron-shore rock, and watch out for holes that can be hidden by brush. Bring a small backpack or other bag with plenty of water and perhaps a snack or two if “hanger” might happen to you.
